An interior transformation is more than a paint job. It's the disciplined sequence of design intent, surface preparation, finish carpentry, colour engineering and final styling that turns a tired room into the visual centrepiece of the home. Our team has been refining this sequence on Fraser Valley homes since 2009 and we've codified it into a repeatable five-stage process: Discover, Specify, Prepare, Apply, Reveal.
Every project begins with a Discover walkthrough. A senior decorator visits your home, photographs every surface that will be touched, measures the rooms with a laser, and listens to how you actually use the space. Most homeowners are surprised by how much of this first conversation is about light — the angle of natural light through your windows in November is a different problem from the same light in July, and our colour specifications respect that.
In the Specify stage we issue a written scope. You receive a colour deck with large-format hand-painted swatches (not a tiny manufacturer chip), a finish schedule, a labour schedule and a fixed price. Nothing is verbal. This is the document that we work from and the document we are accountable to.
Prepare is where most contractors cut corners and where we don't. Walls are washed, sanded, filled, re-sanded, primed, and inspected under raking light before any colour goes on. Trim is degreased and de-glossed. Floors and furniture are protected with breathable canvas, never plastic. The prep stage is typically 40 percent of the labour hours on a quality interior — if a competing quote skips it, that quote is not comparable.
Apply is the visible stage and the one homeowners associate with decorating. Two coats minimum on walls, three on trim, cut-in by hand, rolled with the right nap for the substrate. We use Benjamin Moore Aura and Regal Select as our standard, with specialty coatings (Fine Paints of Europe, Farrow & Ball) available on request. Spray application is reserved for cabinetry and new-build trim where dust control allows it.
Reveal is the final walkthrough. We turn on every light in the room, hand you a punch list pen, and walk you through every surface. Anything you mark gets fixed before we leave. The reveal is documented with EyeSpyR photography so you have a permanent record of the finish for insurance and resale.
Pricing for a standard living-room transformation in the Fraser Valley starts at $4,800 and a full main-floor refresh typically lands between $11,000 and $19,000. Quotes are fixed, written and valid for 30 days.
